Hough 1

The following case study has been supplied by Stuart Henry Kitchens, an approved Sheraton retailer based in Bromborough, Wirral.

This L-shaped kitchen demonstrates how longer and narrower rooms can be utilised to make the most of space.

The client wanted to create an immersive kitchen, where friends could gather and socialise while food was prepared. Rather than segregating the kitchen, dining and lounge areas, seating is accommodated in all spaces, easing the transition between canapes, fine dining, and after-dinner drinks.

While the open-plan layout is modern, the aesthetic of the kitchen is assuredly traditional, featuring Edwardian doors with distinctive handles, in a warm hickory. This colour is perfect for kitchens with timber features and furnishings, complimenting white, cream and mocha colour schemes.

The kitchen is characterised by textures; the tiled splashback, the grooved panel of the breakfast bar, each accentuated by subtle spotlights. Lighting has been considered on each level, which tie seamlessly together to layer our kitchen like a rich coffee cake! Is it time to put that kettle on?
