Health and Safety

The health and welfare of our workforce is paramount, and our policies cover everything within the workplace from the use of visual display screens to the free issue of earplugs and dust masks.

The airborne monitoring of wood dust, a hazardous substance, is carried out together with employee health surveillance.

Training and awareness is provided on a regular basis so that best practice is achieved.

There is a formal Health and Safety Committee comprising shop floor workers, supervisors, managers and has Omega PLC director representation.

Omega PLC, the Groups only manufacturing company, recognises that importance of Health and Safety with Board level responsibility.

Health and Safety targets are regularly reviewed and acted upon, with a view to identifying and managing all risks and achieving a continuing reduction in accidents.

Employee Consultation

The elected Works Council meets regularly with Omega PLC directors attending and all representatives can raise agenda items.

The Group is in the process of finalising its agreement for the constitution of its Information and Consultation Committee, or Elected Council.
